CCSA offers private music lessons to students ages five years through adult. The music faculty is comprised of teachers who hold degrees in music education. We offer private music lessons in piano, voice, violin, cello, percussion, and guitar.

Music lessons are weekly ½ hour private sessions. They are taught by educators who enjoy sharing their passion for music and helping each student reach their musical potential. CCSA's music teachers are committed to nurturing each student in developing their musical talent, skills and knowledge. Learning to read music and learning musical theory are the foundations of the curriculum. Students gain self-confidence and self-discipline while developing musical talent and an appreciation for the beauty of music.

One of the benefits of studying music at CCSA is the professional environment in which the lessons are taught. Our comfortable music studios provide a focused learning environment free from distraction. Two studios are equipped with full size digital pianos with 88 weighted keys. The other two studios are equipped with beautiful full size upright pianos. A guitar amp is provided for students studying the electric guitar. The percussion studio is equipped with a full size drum set and the guitar studio has the latest computer technology where students can hook up their I-pods, research music and artists and jam like a rock star!

Each year all students are invited to perform in the annual recitals. The winter recital is held at CCSA. The spring recital is held at the History Place in Morehead City. These recitals are intended to give the students the opportunity to share their music and to develop their stage presence and performing skills.
